Born in 1940, Linda Bastian studied art at Antioch College, Tufts University and New York University where she earned her doctorate. As a painter she has been involved with two important and high-profile federal programs: “Art in the Embassies” and the public art programs at the New Jersey and New York Port Authorities. These programs have brought this artist’s work recognition and prestige, and her paintings and prints have been exhibited at galleries in solo and group shows and at museums including the Brooklyn Museum.
