This Spanish artist has used woodcut techniques and primary colors extensively in his printmaking. Although printing with woodcuts has fallen out of fashion in recent years, it is the earliest form of print making and a discipline that relies on the skill of the artist with their etching knife and wood-block. Through relief printmaking, the artist demonstrates his dexterity as he carves his image out of the wood or linoleum block.
